Our Fees
Each member of our society consults with professional advisors from time to time. Examples of such consultations are a visit to a physician and work by an income-tax preparer. As for other professionals, we are compensated for our expertise and for our efforts on your behalf. The extent of our efforts generally depends on the complexity of your situation and on the number of areas in which we can offer advice that has value for you.
We Are Compensated Solely For Our Efforts
We do not base fees on a percentage of your assets nor on other direct measures of your income or net worth. Our recommendations never result in payment of commissions on product sales.
After we learn more about your concerns and gain an understanding about your situation, we will offer our services by quoting a specific fee within an engagement agreement. You will know the full cost and the payment terms at that time. Our approach to the determination of fees is unusual, but we feel that it is fair both to us and to our clients.
Pleasanton Financial Advisors is not affiliated with any bank, brokerage firm, or insurance company and has no fee arrangements with any institution. Our independence allows us to recommend cost-effective investments solely on the basis of appropriateness for your portfolio.
